£2,670.00Price

Join us on a completely unique and exclusive expedition of New Zealand’s wildest and most pristine coastal environments.

Never before has there been a trip quite like this in Aotearoa, combining the expertise of Abel Tasman Kayaks with over 35 years of experience running guided kayak expeditions with the equally as exceptional Abel Tasman Sailing, topped off and delivered to by New Zealand’s most famous travel adventure guru Kyle Mulinder (@barekiwi) who will share with you his extensive knowledge of the New Zealand’s rich cultural history, marine biology and much more.

This expedition will be a journey for the mind, body and soul serving up everything that is special about the Abel Tasman National Park, the dynamic waters of D’urville Island and the magnificent Marlborough sounds.

Create memories you’ll cherish for life and experiences that will invigorate the imagination sparking explorations inwards as you paddle and sail around historical headlands, float into beautiful lagoons, step back in time as you follow in the footsteps of the Mauri before you, experience their way of life and traditional story telling with your local guide.

Step off the plane and straight into our private transfer vehicle which will take you to a luxurious house overlooking Nelson Bay and the Tasman region, you will have as much time as you need to settle in and recover from your flight before we board the mothership Te Hanui and set sail.

The first 2 days of your journey will be spent getting to know your fellow group members and kayaks in the sensational Abel Tasman National Park. Te hanui allows total freedom around the park, getting you to the right place at the right times, giving you the best access to all the hidden gems and private beaches.

You will then set sail across the Tasman bay bound for the infamous D’urville island. You will now truly be in some of New Zealand’s wildest and remote waters where very few have paddled before you. The vast empty beach is perfect for cooking freshly caught fish on an open fire and swapping tales and laughter. D’urville island is the crown jewel for adventurers looking to experience the great outdoors and mother nature. You will spend the next 3 days exploring the immense coastline of this iconic island before setting sail again for the more sheltered waters of the Marlborough sounds.

Once in the sounds we will be on the last leg of our expedition, taking the time to kayak and sail around the seemingly endless inlets and relishing the natural beauty. Stretch your legs on the coastal path and find moments of peace. Marlborough is also one the countries top wine producing regions and additional tours and wine experiences can be organized upon request.

Once we reach our final port of Picton you will be welcomed by our friendly transfer team.
